Kate Beckinsale is a British actress. She is born on July 26, 1973.

She is daughter of actors. she began an acting career in the early 1990s, including in Much Ado About Nothing, while a student at Oxford University. After a few notable roles in film (Shooting Fish, The Last Days of Disco) and television (The Farm of Evil, Emma, Alice through the Looking Glass) and a move to the United States to continue her career, it is only in 2001 that she gets international recognition with the film Pearl Harbor.

She has alternated between film genres and has acted in both big budget films (such as the romantic comedy A Love in New York, the fantasy comedy Click: Control Your Life, and the thrillers Motel and Whiteout) and in independent and arthouse films (such as Laurel Canyon, Snow Angels and The Price of Silence).
