Short biography

Jessica Ellen Cornish is better known under the pseudonym Jessie J. She is a British singer-songwriter and began her career at the age of 11 with a role in the musical Whistle Down the Wind. Best known in her early days for writing songs for Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, and Miley Cyrus, she released her first single, Do It Like A Dude, in November 2010.

Citing a variety of influences, Jessie J is known for her style and music mixing soul vocals with contemporary R&B, pop, electropop and hip-hop sounds. She has won numerous awards and nominations for her music. Jessie J supports a variety of causes and appears on the British Telethon, BBC Children in Need and Comic Relief.
