Short biography

Aguilera is an American singer-songwriter, businesswoman, and actress. In 1993, at 12, she launched her career in The Mickey Mouse Club. In 1999 she released her debut album. 16 million copies are sold and three of the singles topped the charts in the United States. However, during the promotion of her next two albums, Mi Reflejo and My Kind of Christmas (2000), Christina was categorized as a « bubblegum pop singer ». Not liking this image, Christina became more involved in the creation of her fourth album, Stripped (2002) .

Sources say that Aguilera sold seventy-five to one hundred and thirty-three million copies of her albums and singles. This puts her on the list of vocalists with the highest number of music releases sold. Aguilera is a six-time Grammy winner and the only artist under the age of thirty to be included in the « 100 Most Outstanding Vocalists of All Time » list of Rolling Stone magazine.
